On September 15th, we had the pleasure of bringing the KOSMOS community together for a day dedicated to discussion, sharing news, and the continuous improvement of our tool: KOSMOS DAY!
Highlights:
A day packed with content: This meeting provided an opportunity to revisit the presentation of the KOSMOS vision, the roadmap, the cybersecurity topic, on-board Linux, and the concept of community. Partners and users were kind enough to share their valuable feedback that helped better understand user needs and anticipate future developments.
The experiences shared during the event:
- Lombard Denys & Segonds Patricia (ATOS) on KOSMOS maintenance
- Debicki Olivier (CEA Leti) & Frandon Olivier (CS Group) on the NanomagSat mission
- Carcagno Laurent (HEMERIA) on HEMERIA missions
- Justicia-Mayoral Marc (ISAE) on ISAE activities
What the community expressed: During the questionnaire and workshops, users expressed their need for more educational materials, more interaction, and longer discussion times at future events (and more coffee !).
The resulting actions?
- An evolving roadmap: this feedback will allow us to adjust the project's trajectory, particularly with the creation of new support mechanisms.
- A growing community: the desire to strengthen discussions and the sharing of experiences will guide future actions around KOSMOS.
What has happened since?
- We have summarized the various feedback provided by participants.
- We have initiated a project whose results we hope to present at KOSMOS DAY 2026:
- Improvement of the KOSMOS documentation package
- Improvement of training materials
- Improvement of KOSMOS configuration management
In a nutshell:
We are very happy with what we have built together during this first edition, and eager to continue this momentum!
