Space weather and orbitography

ORB - Orbital mechanics
On October 15, 2020, COMET-ORB organized a seminar on the latest advances in atmospheric modeling for space mechanics issues. The prediction of the atmosphere behavior is a crucial problem for the calculation of satellite trajectory, so COMET ENV and OPS have joined for this seminar on this topic. Radiation effects on solid state optoelectronic detectors

OOE - Optics and Optoelectronics
Two years after a very fruitful fourth edition of this event, CNES, ESA, AIRBUS DEFENCE&SPACE, THALES ALENIA SPACE, SODERN, TELEDYNE E2V and ISAE SUPAERO have organized the 5th edition of the Workshop focused on radiation effects on optoelectronic detectors. This event was held in Toulouse on November the 27-28th 2018 within the framework of the Optics & Optoelectronics (OOE) and Environment (ENV) Community of expert (COMET).

The use of automotive components for space applications

MCE - Microsystems and Electronic Components
The requirements for selection, control, procurement and usage of EEE parts for space projects are defined by the ECSS standards according to a defined class for the project. The three different classes are defining a compromise between assurance and risk. Nowadays, we can see new types of projects through the emergence of space constellations in the space industry and the market of cubesats/nanosats. Somehow, we could consider these projects as out ...

OMERE 5.0 Workshop

ENV - Atmopsheric and Space Envionment
The Atmospheric & Space Environment COMET organized the “OMERE 5.0 Workshop” at CLS (Toulouse) on 15 & 16 May 2017. OMERE is a freeware dedicated to space environment and radiation effects on electronic devices. This tool is developed by TRAD with the support of the CNES. It also includes the requirements of our partners: THALES ALENIA SPACE, AIRBUS DS, EADS-ST, ONERA, CEA, ESA. OMERE computes the space environment and the radiation ...
